Richard Avedon: Darkness and Light

Last week, I watched DVD called "Darkness and Light: Richard Avedon". I took out from AAU library. "Richard Avedon: Darkness and Light", provides a comprehensive overview of the career, and also to some extent, of the personal life of this exceptional photographer. In my opinion, this DVD is really good. Avedon's work always inspired me and gives me a thought. I recommended everyone to watch this DVD.

Concept: 
Hide and seek: a children's game in which one player tries to find other players who have hidden themselves. My concept is hide and seek.What are you hiding from the reality? I believe everyone has something that hidden inside.

Shoes and chair assignment from Visualization class

Shoes: My concept is "United we stand, divided we fall" is a phrase that has been used in mottos, from nations and states to songs. The basic concept is that unless the people are united, it is easy to destroy them.

Chair: My concept is nostalgia, loneliness, homesick. This photo has only objects but no living creature such as human or animal but the fact that the fire is burning imply that there is a human being lives there.

Isolation by emotional response: This photo I took at the car wash that I pass everyday. There are 2 garages in this photo. The right garage on the photo has the car and the other side is empty. I think it makes me feel emptiness and loneliness
